Counsel Aida Diaz-Silveira

Aida Diaz-Silveira’s in-depth knowledge of United States Immigration and Nationality Law and her problem solving skills are valuable when providing strategic counsel to her clients.

Her practice is focused on advising and representing domestic and multinational entities in connection with all matters of U.S. immigration law, regulation, policy and compliance.

Her work on behalf of corporate clients includes advising on the immigration consequences of mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and other business transactions, I-9 and H-1B/LCA compliance (including audit representation), and overall immigration program management.

She also represents entities and individuals before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly the Immigration and Naturalization Service), the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Labor in a variety of matters such as visa applications and petitions involving intracompany transferees, professionals, investors, professional athletes and entertainers as well as family-based petitions and citizenship applications.

As an advocate, Aida Diaz-Silveira views her role as perhaps the most important component in her clients’ attainment of their U.S. immigration goals. As the daughter of immigrants, she is grateful for the privilege of having been born in the United States but, because of her parents’ experience and her years of practice in the immigration field, she also understands that effective and knowledgeable counsel is required for navigating the complicated immigration process. She enjoys performing pro bono work for members of the South Florida community and volunteering through various local community and civic organizations, including the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, Catholic Legal Services, and the Junior League of Miami.

Aida Diaz-Silveira graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice in 1995. She received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1999. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Florida.
