Senior Counsel H. William Walker
Bill Walker is one of South Florida’s leading real estate lawyers. His areas of practice include all aspects of real estate acquisition and disposition, ownership, use, development and finance, and general corporate matters.
Bill has participated in and represented owners of, investors in and lenders to numerous complex real estate projects, including those of such major domestic and international developers as Arvida Corporation, JMB Realty Corporation, Crocker and Company and Crocker Realty Investors, Inc., Hannover Ruckversicherungs, The Walt Disney Company, AMFAC Property Company, Codina Development Corporation and Temple Development Company. He has participated in the planning, development and financing and sale of major commercial properties, such as the Town Center Mall Shopping Center, the Mizner Park and Crocker Center commercial/retail/hotel mixed use projects, the Boca Raton Hotel and Club, in Boca Raton, Florida and the Dadeland Shopping Center in Miami, Florida. Bill has also participated in the planning, developing, financing and sale of a variety of planned residential communities, including primary housing, resort housing and hospitality properties, including Boca West and Broken Sound Developments in Palm Beach County, Florida, the Weston Development in Broward County, Florida, the Sawgrass Development in Jacksonville, Florida, the Longboat Key Club Development in Sarasota, Florida, the Coto de Caza Development in Orange County, California, and the Cullasaja Club development in Highlands, North Carolina, and planned office/commercial/industrial projects, including Miami International Commerce Center, Beacon Industrial Park and Beacon Tradeport in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Diaz-Silveira, Bill served as both Partner and “Of Counsel” at White & Case LLP since 1987. From 1999-2000, Bill served as the Managing Director of the Parmenter Company, a commercial real estate development firm. He was a founding partner of Walker Ellis Gragg & Deaktor from 1984-1987, and was a partner at Mershon Sawyer Johnston Dunwody & Cole from 1971-1984.
Bill is a recognized community leader having served many organizations in leadership roles such as Chairman of the Board of Directors for United Way of Florida, Founding Director and Corporate Secretary of Kristi House, Founding Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Trinity Episcopal School, Founding President and Director of the Florida Foster Care Review Project, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Easter Seal Society of Miami-Dade County and Vice Chairman and Trustee of Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe, Inc.

Bill received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University in 1968 and graduated from Washington and Lee University School of Law, summa cum laude in 1971. Bill received his Master of Divinity from the Florida Center for Theological Studies in 2009. He is an ordained priest of the Episcopal Church.
